The microbes that cause dandruff are on every scalp, everywhere. Even in NFL stadiums. So to get people to make a big deal about the tiny microbes on their scalps, we hijacked Thursday Night Football and assembled a duo of NFL superstars to send those microbes down the drain with Head & Shoulders.
This spot aired live during the Steelers vs. Bengals TNF game, and was the grand finale of our campaign.
Before the finale, Troy needed back-up. And we needed to fulfill our career-long dreams of putting two grown men in a bathtub together. Done and done.
We blurred the lines between live TV and commercial breaks with spots designed to leave everyone scratching their heads.
And it wouldn’t be an NFL campaign without a few collectibles. So, we made Trading Bottles. Like trading cards, but shampoo.
